Support the library
Keep the library free for everyone.
No paywall, no advertising, and no account needed to read. The library stays that way because the people who value it help pay for it.
Donations are taken on Stand With Dignity’s own secure page — the organisation behind the library.
Where your gift goes
Three things, and nothing else.
- 01
Hosting and delivery
Every book is read straight from our storage — the whole collection of scanned pages, served to readers wherever they are. It costs money every month, whether one person reads or a thousand.
- 02
Digitisation
Scanning, cleaning and making older volumes searchable — above all the Urdu books and the Arabic texts, which take the most care to bring online well.
- 03
Translation
Commissioning English translations of important works that have never had one, so they can reach readers who do not read the original.

The collection grows because people send things in. None of these cost anything.
Questions
Before you give.
Who receives my donation?
Stand With Dignity, the organisation that runs this library. The donate button takes you to their own donation page, and your gift goes to them directly.
Will the library stay free?
Yes. Every book is free to read in the browser, with no paywall, no advertising and no account needed. Donations keep it that way — they do not unlock anything.
Can I fund a particular book or translation?
Yes. Write to husayn@standwithdignity.org with what you would like to support, and we will tell you what it involves.
Can I get a receipt, or claim tax relief?
Receipts and any tax relief depend on where you live, and are handled by Stand With Dignity. Write to husayn@standwithdignity.org and they will tell you what applies to you.
I cannot give money. How else can I help?
In plenty of ways — see other ways to help. Suggesting books and reporting bad scans makes the library better for everyone who comes after you.
